Composition: A Family Member I Admire

 A Family Member I Admire



    A family member I admire is my Uncle Shane. He is my mother's oldest brother. I admire Uncle Shane because he is very helpful. He assists me with my homework and with other things too, like learning to ride a bicycle. Uncle Shane really looks out for me. He takes me to interesting places like Welchman Hall Gully. My uncle is very funny and this is one of the best things about him. 

 I also respect Uncle Shane a lot because he works very hard. He is a landscaper. This means that he keeps lawns and gardens looking their best. Someday when I am older, I hope that I will be a hard worker just like my Uncle Shane.

Tourism Tourism means people travelling to places outside of their usual home.  A tourist is anyone traveling for fun, business or visiting relatives. A tourist must stay at least 24 hours but for less than one year. There are different types of tourists. First, a domestic tourist is a person who spends at least one night away from their normal home but still within their own country. Some people call this a ‘staycation’.  Then, there are regional tourists. This is a tourist who travels within a certain region. For example, a Barbadian visiting Jamaica.  Suppose you really wanted to visit New York and see the Statue of Liberty. Then you would be an international tourist. An international tourist is someone who travels across international borders.
