Find the HCF of 20 and 24

Factors of 20= 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20
Factors of 24= 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24
HCF= 4

1. Find the HCF of 18 and 20

2. Find the HCF of 36 and 40

3. Find the HCF of 12 and 30

















Hint: When reducing larger numbers to lowest terms, if you are unsure of a number to divide by, 
begin by writing down the factors of the number. 

Example:  27/81
                    Factors of 27 = 1, 3, 9, 27
                    Factors of 81 = 1, 3, 9, 27, 81
