 A Family Party 

Rewrite the passage using the past tense form of the verbs in brackets. 



We _____________________(hold) a party in our garden last Saturday. That morning, I ___________________(wake) up early. When I ______________________ (get) out of bed, I______________________ (find) that mother ___________________(be not) in her bedroom. Then I (see) ______________________mother cooking in the kitchen. 

Later, we ____________________ (go) out together and (buy) ____________________a lot of food. In the evening, many friends and relatives (come) ____________________ to our house. We ___________________(have) a barbecue and __________________(sing) songs together. Uncle David ___________________(take) many photos for us. My father _________________(drink) a lot of wine that night. We ___________________ (not sleep) until 2 in the morning. We enjoyed the party very much.

Tourism Tourism means people travelling to places outside of their usual home.  A tourist is anyone traveling for fun, business or visiting relatives. A tourist must stay at least 24 hours but for less than one year. There are different types of tourists. First, a domestic tourist is a person who spends at least one night away from their normal home but still within their own country. Some people call this a ‘staycation’.  Then, there are regional tourists. This is a tourist who travels within a certain region.
