A tourist must stay at least 24 hours but for less than one year. There are different types of tourists. First, a domestic tourist is a person who spends at least one night away from their normal home but still within their own country. Some people call this a ‘staycation’. Then, there are regional tourists. This is a tourist who travels within a certain region. For example, a Barbadian visiting Jamaica.
