Integrated Science- Week 1 Lesson 1 - Photosynthesis

What do you think is integrated science?

*You must write your notes for homework.

Science helps to give us an understanding of our world.

Today's Focus is: Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process plants use to make their own food.

What do plants need for photosynthesis?

1. Sunlight
2. Water
3. Carbon dioxide

The process

1. Photosynthesis takes place in the plant's leaves.

2. Carbon dioxide passes through tiny holes on the plant's leaves.

3. The leaves also absorb sunlight

4. The roots are important because they absorb water.

Why is photosynthesis important?

Photosynthesis is important because it creates food and oxygen.

Question Time!
