The Wooden Horse

Once there was a great city called Troy. Troy was surrounded by high walls and sturdy gates. The Greek army wanted to conquer the city of Troy but they couldn't find a way into the city.

One day the Trojans woke up to find that the Greek army had left. They thought that the Greeks had given up and had left a  parting gift for them; A large wooden horse.

They dragged the huge wooden horse into the city. They danced and sang in celebration of their victory.

When the Trojans went to sleep after their festivity and the city grew silent, a trap door beneath the belly of the wooden horse was silently opened.
