Active and Passive Voice


(e.g) We are eating the food. (Present Continous Tense)

The food is being eaten by us. 


(e.g) We were eating the food. (Past Continuous Tense)

    The food was being eaten by us. 


(e.g) We eat the food. (Present Tense)

The food is eaten by us. 


(e.g) We ate the food. (Past Tense)

The food was eaten by us. 


Write the tense at the end of the sentence and then rewrite in the passive voice. 

1. The fast athlete is winning the race. 

2. We understood the work.

3. The TV is showing cartoons. 

4. The driver carefully controlled the large bus.
