Percentages (Homework)

 You must write the questions in your book. 


1.     In a test, a boy scored 18 out of 20. What percentage did he get in the test?


2.     In a bag of toys, there are 25 toys. Of these, 15 of them are dolls. What percentage of the toys are dolls?


3.     My class has 20 children. 7 of them are tall girls. What percentage of the children are girls?


4.    25 children in Class 4 play basketball.  13 of them are very good players. What percentage is this?


5.     There are 50 laptops in a store. 30 of them are on sale. What percentage is this?


6.     On my work today, I got 10 out of 25. What percentage did I get?


7.     50 runners enter a competition. 20 of them get injured. What percentage is this?

Tourism Tourism means people travelling to places outside of their usual home.  A tourist is anyone traveling for fun, business or visiting relatives. A tourist must stay at least 24 hours but for less than one year. There are different types of tourists. First, a domestic tourist is a person who spends at least one night away from their normal home but still within their own country. Some people call this a ‘staycation’.  Then, there are regional tourists. This is a tourist who travels within a certain region. For example, a Barbadian visiting Jamaica.  Suppose you really wanted to visit New York and see the Statue of Liberty. Then you would be an international tourist. An international tourist is someone who travels across international borders.
