Composition

                                 Tips for Story-Telling


1. Use many adjectives to describe your characters and the setting. 

2. Have no more than 3 - 4 characters. 

3. Have at least 4 - 5 paragraphs. 

4. Your story must have a problem. 

5. Your story must have a solution. 





















      


  It was a _________________ Saturday afternoon. Aunty Pam was outside _____________________. _____________________ and _______________________ were climbing up the tall _______________ tree. 

        "Get down right now!" Aunty Pam shouted ________________. The children felt _______________ and went inside to find another game to play.

        _________________ and ____________________ soon felt _________________ insided and decided to sneak outside. When Aunty's back was turned, they went right back up the tree. Suddenly, ________________________ foot slipped on a branch. He screamed ______________________.

Tourism Tourism means people travelling to places outside of their usual home.  A tourist is anyone traveling for fun, business or visiting relatives. A tourist must stay at least 24 hours but for less than one year. There are different types of tourists. First, a domestic tourist is a person who spends at least one night away from their normal home but still within their own country. Some people call this a ‘staycation’.  Then, there are regional tourists. This is a tourist who travels within a certain region. For example, a Barbadian visiting Jamaica.  Suppose you really wanted to visit New York and see the Statue of Liberty. Then you would be an international tourist. An international tourist is someone who travels across international borders. For example, travelling from Barbados to the United States.  Tourism is great because it creates many jobs for people who work in hotels.
