Multiplication of Decimals by 10, 100, 1000
When you are multiplying a decimal by 10, move the decimal point one place to the right.
When you are multiplying a decimal by 100, move the decimal point two places to the right.
When you are multiplying a decimal by 1000, move the decimal point three places to the right.
Examples:
If there are no digits to the left, fill the remaining spaces with zero (0).
Division of Decimals by 10, 100, 1000
When you are dividing a decimal by 10, move the decimal point one place to the left.
When you are dividing a decimal by 100, move the decimal point two places to the left.
When you are dividing a decimal by 1000, move the decimal point three places to the left.
