Samuel stared sadly at the trees outside his window as he combed his
hair. The monkeys were climbing from limb to limb. Once in his lifetime, he
had lots of money; he was a millionaire. A sad turn of events caused him to lose everything, so he is now bankrupt. When he walks the streets,
people would laugh at him and call him a pauper.
He thought to himself that it was time to move on.
He reached for the
Map of Guyana, showing the natural regions. He looked at the key for the
map and thought about moving to the interior savannah where he can
become a cattle farmer or perhaps the highland region when he can get
involved in mining. This way he can get out of debt. If only he had learnt
how to spend sparingly and hoard his money.

Farmer Springer is a splendid old man who enjoys working on his farm.
Every morning he would splash water in the pens so that they can be nice
and clean. On hot days, he sprays his animals with water so they can feel
cool. His pet dog is very frisky and is always sprinting around the place.
One day as he was on a sprinting spree, like a spring machine, his leg
became trapped in a hole and he suffered a sprain.
The farmer had to
use a splint to stabilise the leg. That morning, he prayed for his dog to be
strong again.
It was late in the evening, so Farmer Springer selected his favourite book
to read himself a story before dozing off to sleep. Tomorrow he will go to
the market to buy some fruits and vegetables. He knows fruits and
vegetables are very important to fight off diseases.

Joseph had always wanted to be a knight. His father, the king, had been known
as a brave and noble knight and Joseph wanted to make his father proud. The
problem was that Joseph was afraid of insects. He always tried to remain calm
